Information

Frequency converter: Since frequency converters can meet the requirements of many aspects of production technology, especially in industrial automation control applications, AC variable frequency speed regulation technology has become the mainstream of industrial automation control. The performance of the AC speed regulation system is comparable to that of the DC speed regulation system, and can even exceed that of the DC system. The full digital control method it adopts has greatly enhanced the information processing capability. At the same time, it continuously integrates practical experience and skills into software functions, and now has become a complex control that cannot be achieved by analog control, which can enrich the reliability, availability and maintainability of the frequency converter. Because the frequency converter has the advantages of good speed regulation performance, wide speed regulation range, high operating efficiency, simple operation, convenient operation, and is suitable for interfacing with other equipment, it is being used more and more widely. Over the years, we have been learning in actual production applications and have accumulated some experience in the maintenance and repair of frequency converters.

Due to the rapid development of power electronics and microelectronics, the transformation and replacement of frequency converters are relatively fast, new products are constantly introduced, performance is constantly improved, and functions are constantly enriched and enhanced. There are many brands of frequency converters on the market. Although there are many types, their functions and uses are basically similar. Generally speaking, their use, maintenance and troubleshooting methods are basically the same. In actual applications, the performance of the frequency converter will vary due to the surrounding temperature, humidity, vibration, dust, corrosive gas and other environmental conditions. If used reasonably and maintained correctly, the service life can be extended and production losses caused by sudden failures can be reduced. If improper use causes maintenance work to fail to keep up, it will cause operating failures, causing the frequency converter to fail to work properly, and even causing premature damage to the frequency converter, thus affecting the normal operation of production equipment. Therefore, daily maintenance and regular inspections are essential.

Daily maintenance and inspection

For the inverter that runs continuously, you can visually check the operating status from the outside. Check the inverter regularly to see if there are any abnormalities during the operation of the inverter. The following inspections should usually be performed:

① Whether the ambient temperature is normal, it should be within the range of -10℃~40℃, preferably around 25℃;

② Whether the output current, voltage, frequency and other data displayed on the inverter display are normal;

③ Whether the characters displayed on the display panel are clear and whether they are lost;

④ Use a thermometer to detect whether the inverter is overheated and whether there is any odor;

⑤ Whether the inverter fan is running normally, whether there are any abnormalities, and whether the cooling air duct is unobstructed;

⑥ Whether there is a fault alarm display during the operation of the inverter;

⑦ Check whether the AC input voltage of the inverter exceeds the maximum value. The limit is 418V (380V×1.1). If the external input voltage of the main circuit exceeds the limit, the inverter circuit board will be damaged even if the inverter is not running.
